Are details doomed to be left out during the reign of the hustle and bustle? In the exhibition "In Details", the three Hong Kong artists, Choi Yan Chi, Ivy Ma and Wai Kit Lam, scrutinise our very human relationship with the world through their discerning attention to details which are usually pass unnoticed in the course of everyday life.
Making use of a childhood game, Choi Yan Chi simulates the life cycle of flowers with paper; inspired by a few recurrent images in ‘Tokyo Story’ by the Japanese director Yasujiro Ozu, Ivy Ma comprehends the quiet passage of time and presents her aesthetic of stillness through her drawings; Wai Kit Lam, with her works titled Orientation, induces audience to get lost in ordinary everyday objects portrayed in her uncanny photos.
