Cinema, like music, is a big part of our company culture.
It’s the film posters mainly that get noticed. They’ve been part of the decor of agnès b. boutiques since the word go, and her collection of original posters is now second to none!
Her love of black and white movies, the casual elegance of the New Wave, the straight lines of her cut and the fashion films she makes all pay homage to cinema. It has always been an instinctive source of inspiration for the stylist.
Agnès b. also works on films! First with Quentin Tarantino – creating the suits in Reservoir Dogs and Uma Thurman’s black outfit in Pulp Fiction – and latterly appearing in the credits for designing clothes for David Lynch’s Mulholland Drive.
